Classical Blast provides a fresh take on rock music, using instruments not typical in today's rock/pop era. Featuring cellist Petar Kecenovici and violinist Alin Cernaianu, both classically trained musicians from Romania, Classical Blast brings the classical arts to mainstream entertainment. 

Bandleader Petar has toured worldwide with such notable artists as Dennis DeYoung (Styx), Randy Jackson, George Benson, Jordin Sparks and Clay Aiken, as well as with groups Cheap Trick, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Mannheim Steamroller, il Divo and others. He has performed for Broadway shows,The Lion King and The Color Purple, and at Disney’s Epcot Center. Alin was a member of the orchestra for the National Opera House of Timisoara, one of the best in Romania. He toured extensively with them, which eventually lead him to the U.S. in 2007. He won a scholarship to pursue his Master’s degree from Northern Illinois University and was accepted as a regular member of The Civic Orchestra of Chicago. 

Classical Blast also consists of the best musical talent and showmanship Chicago has to offer, including vocalist/ guitarist, David Kav, and drummer, Glen Kosche. Actor/vocalist/guitarist/composer David Kav brings his prodigious energy, soaring vocal talent and guitar skills to Classical Blast. He created a number of original CD projects over the years and performed at a wide variety of musical venues, and also performed in local musical theater productions such as “Man of LaMancha”, “Tommy” and others. Glen Kosche previously performed with a number of local bands, including the popular JP & The Cats and the Tom Carey Band. Glen later joined Kickbend in 2008, which crafted songs that paid homage to rock legends. Their debut album, “Faith, Hope, Love,” was an eclectic journey through the blues, soul, pop, rock, country and folk. Their song, “Goin' Home,” was developed into an Xbox 360 video game for Rock Band 2. As a cancer survivor, Glen enjoys teaching drums and the healing power of music.
